This policy applies in addition to the Company's general Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. This document addresses practices specific to SteamyForge and ThrillerForge.

Account Information

We collect your email address when you register for the Service. This is the only personal information required to use the Service.

Purchase Information

When you make a purchase, your payment is processed by LemonSqueezy, acting as Merchant of Record. We receive a purchase confirmation record (order ID, product purchased, purchase date) but never receive or store your payment card details.

Content You Provide

To generate your manuscript, you provide story premises, character details, trope selections, heat level preferences, and chapter notes. This content is transmitted to our AI engine to produce your manuscript and is stored server-side as part of your book project so you can continue working across sessions.

Generated Manuscript Content

The manuscript content generated by the Service is stored server-side associated with your account so that your work persists between sessions. You may export and delete your projects at any time.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data (such as pages accessed and features used) to operate and improve the Service. This data is not linked to personally identifiable information beyond your account.

3. What We Do Not Collect

• Payment card details (handled entirely by LemonSqueezy)
• Real name, address, or phone number (not required to use the Service)
• Sensitive personal data (health, biometric, or financial information)
• Precise location data

4. AI Generation and Your Content

When you request content generation, your inputs (premise, character details, chapter notes) are transmitted to our backend, which constructs a prompt and sends it to our AI provider's API. The AI provider processes the prompt and returns generated text. Your content is used solely to produce your manuscript — not for model training, analytics, or any other purpose.

The identity of our AI generation provider is proprietary and subject to change as we evaluate and adopt the best available technology.

5. How We Use Your Information

• Email address: To verify your account, deliver purchase confirmations, and (with your consent) send product updates and offers from Empathy Tech Solutions.
• Purchase records: To manage your book credits and provide access to the Service.
• Story content: To generate, store, and serve your manuscript across sessions.
• Usage data: To improve Service quality, diagnose issues, and understand feature usage.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:

• Email marketing: Retained until you unsubscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any marketing email.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Correction

You may access and update your account email at any time within the Service settings.

Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us via the Contact page. Purchase records required by law will be retained.

Marketing Opt-Out

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.

California Residents (CCPA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

European Residents (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing is the performance of a contract (operating your account and delivering the Service) and legitimate interests (improving the Service). SteamyForge and ThrillerForge are intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. SteamyForge produces explicit adult romance content; ThrillerForge produces thriller fiction with mature themes including violence. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and delete associated data.

11. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
