1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all paid purchases of book credits for the Service from Empathy Tech Solutions LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). All purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), acting as Merchant of Record.
The Service is a per-book, transactional product โ not a subscription. Each purchase grants unlimited chapter drafts for one specific book project.
2. 14-Day Refund Window
You may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date. No reason is required within this window.
3. Refund Exceptions
We reserve the right to decline a refund request within the 14-day window if:
- Substantial use of the Service has occurred โ specifically, if a significant number of chapters have been generated using the purchased book credit;
- The refund request appears to be an attempt to obtain generated content without payment;
- The account is found to be in violation of our Terms of Service.
After the 14-day window, refunds are generally not available. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion in cases of:
- Technical failures that prevented access to the Service for a significant portion of the 14-day period;
- Unauthorized or fraudulent charges;
- Circumstances required by applicable consumer protection law.
4. No Refunds on Generated Content
Because SteamyForge delivers a digital service (AI-generated manuscript content) that is consumed at the time of generation, we cannot accept returns of individual generated chapters or plans. The refund window applies to the book purchase as a whole.
5. First Book Offer
Your first book is available for $1, allowing you to experience the full manuscript production pipeline. This introductory offer is a one-time purchase and is subject to the same refund terms as standard purchases.
6. How to Request a Refund
All refund requests must be submitted through LemonSqueezy, as they are the Merchant of Record for your purchase.
Requesting a Refund via LemonSqueezy
- Locate your purchase receipt email from LemonSqueezy.
- Click the order management link in the receipt email.
- Select "Request a Refund" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Alternatively, visit app.lemonsqueezy.com and log in with the email used for your purchase to manage your order.

7. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved, LemonSqueezy typically processes it within 5โ10 business days. The time for the refund to appear on your statement depends on your payment provider.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, or other jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protection rights, you may have additional rights that take precedence over this policy.
